The journey for this summer comes to a end

As this summer ends I find myself very excited about the future. I have accquired many new skills through my classes and my children will be moving forward to new things. My oldest son will finish part of his college career and get his bachlor's degree. Then I look at my younger son who will enter his senior year of high school. I am excited for both of them as they continue to grow into productive human beings. I have been blessed to see them evolve into young men which makes me think about all the mothers that never had the same opportunity. I lost a friend that was my age to breast cancer this year and she left behind two sons that are younger than mine. Needless to say I feel blessed that God allowed me to come this far and to be doing what I have in school and life.

One step closer

As we bring this chapter to an end I am closer to completing my paper. I must admit this has been a fun challange for me. I am not a writer so that makes this journey a little harder. I know now that pratice is the only way to get better. I now understand when people say that you have to spend time working on a craft to improve at it. I know that writing will not stop for me after this class I will continue to pratice all the tools that have been provided. I am not a writer but, I have become more comfortable with the writing process and that is a plus.

The Journey

As I reflect over the paper I am tring to creat I have learned alot about myself. In the research I completed I now understand how important it is to educate yourself and your kids about the world. Knowing that no matter how much you do your children have to experience life. I never thought much about alcohol consumption until now and the fact that so many lives are lost behind it makes me sad. Becoming your own person means making mistakes and learning from them but, it is so hard to see the process in your children. My youngest will be a senior next year and the decisions he makes will confirm the foundation I tried to put in place.

A journey to success

Hello everyone Another week has passed and I am working on putting together a great paper. I have learned so much from everyone and the support of my classmates/professors make things smoother. This process of getting an education makes me desire to improve in everything I do. Even when I feel as if I can not do another thing I am able to pick up my books and get motivated to move forward. My son complained of chest pain and I had to take him to the doctors office but, I still managed to keep to my schedule I set for the week. Thank you James for reminding me how to put all the peices together. Often I get caught up in the full list of things I need to do that I do not break things down into workable tasks.

The Journey continues

Hello everyone as we entered week four I had no idea how difficult it would be. I am working hard trying to cite things correctly however, I know this is an area of needed improvement. As I reflect back I am not sure if I will ever master this skill. Eventhough it is hard for me to grasp this I will not give up. I am just as commited now as I ever was to complete all the tasks before me. My family is supporting me through this process and I know I can do it. Now it is time for me to pratice what I have been preaching and stick with it. If any of my calssmates have ideas on how to work through this please feel free to let me know. I am open to learning from others and will take any suggestions to help me.
